Fitts and Goodwin, Inc. was founded in January
of 1984 by Tom Fitts and John Goodwin. The principals, having worked
together more than twenty-five years, share a strong commitment to
providing a quality construction product, on time delivery, and achievement
of Owner satisfaction.
The firm offers construction services to industrial, commercial, and
institutional clients throughout the Southeast. Normally self performing
the architectural and structural portion of the project, Fitts and
Goodwin is backed by a strong following of specialty subcontractors
whose expertise is drawn on to complete the construction team. Fitts
and Goodwin has a General Contractors License in North and South Carolina,
Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Virginia, and necessary
bonding capabilities.
Fitts and Goodwin has extensive experience in the Design/Build method
of project delivery in addition to the more traditional Plan/Spec
approach. When working on a Design/Build basis, third party design
services are used to complete the Owner-Architect-Contractor team.
This use of independent design professionals maintains the system
of checks and balances required to assure a successful project.
It is the basic philosophy of our firm that a successful construction
project results from a team effort of all parties involved, Owner,
Architect, General Contractor and Subcontractors. These members, working
together in a non-adversarial spirit, can produce a construction product
meeting the Owner's requirements of quality and schedule and at the
same time, providing the construction team with a reasonable profit
and opportunity for repeat business. |
